As per the news from Jamaica; after American Airliner 331 crash landed at the air port in Kingston, all the injured persons have been removed from the site of crash and have been transferred to nearby hospital. However as Boeing 738 skidded past the fence of the air port towards the ocean, stopping some 15 feet away from the water, the area has been closed for the public. News from Jamaica have it that motorists were being diverted from the area so as to preserve the clues leading to the accident.

There has been no confirmed news about the malfunction that caused the plane to crash on landing at the runway. The impact was so strong that the plane was seriously damaged. The fuselage broke and the right engine came off.

Almost 40 people received injuries and were being treated. Jamaican authorities said that most of the injuries consist of broken bones. The updated news have it that 4 people were seriously injured. Most of the passengers were in shock as plane broke apart.

As the passengers put it that it was a rough flight and the plane experienced extensive turbulence in the way and as it landed it was pretty fast not the usual smooth landing. Some of the passengers knew about the impact as they felt the pouring rain on them.

Jamaican authorities said it a ‘blessing’ that there has been no fatality as the result of the accident and the passengers have not received life threatening injuries.
